Things have been a bit quiet over the Summer with artists going on holidays and lots of other distractions including the Olympics, but we have still managed to get some banners designed and ready for the animal centre's new wild flower garden.

Some more of our signs can now be seen around the animal centre:

Keith, John and Sukhi go sign-spotting

 Bleeding Heart Doves

Blue Bellied Rollers

 Superb Starlings

We also have some more great paintings on display in the gallery:

 Gemma - untitled

Keith - seal

Lynda - wild flowers

I've not seen one of these in the animal centre!

Hanwell carnival 2012

We had a very successful carnival this year and it didn't rain! The collective sold quite a few cards and some original pieces too including Mary's much sought after cityscape and Keith's budgie. John, Vince, Keith and Sukhi were expert sales-people during the event and along with Matt, Sarah and Jude the stall was fully staffed all day. It was exhausting but well worth it.

Hanwell Carnival 2012

The BLP Arts Collective will be at the Hanwell Carnival again this year on 16th June at Elthorne Park. Our stall will have merchandise and original artwork for sale and will be a great opportunity to let everyone know about our group and the animal centre.

The stall will be open for business from 11am until about 6pm.

Hope to see you there!

Selected images from Spring 2012

Here is a selection of images which artists have created over the last few months:

 Fish by Gemma

 Seagull by Jude

 Prairie dog family by Keith

Flamingos and swans by Zubin - inspired by a recent trip to India

 Untitled by Mary

Swallowtail butterfly by Keith

Artists at work

Over the last couple of months we have taken some photos of some of the artists hard at work. All the artists have given their permission for these images to be used (if you change your mind, please let me know!) This is by no means everyone who is involved in the art collective - we will have some more action shots of other artists soon...
